Robbie Paul Stalets
December 26, 1998 – February 28, 2015
Robert “Robbie” Paul Stalets, age 16, of Pendleton passed away February 28, 2015 as a result of a short battle with leukemia. His friends and family were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born to Robert and Pam Stalets on December 26, 1998 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Robbie attended Horizon Christian School and never failed to make the staff and student body laugh with his carefree spirit and sense of humor.
He was currently a sophomore. His greatest aspiration was to study Criminal Justice and someday be in the FBI. He played basketball at Horizon and highly enjoyed watching sports. However, most knew him for his love for the outdoors, which included regular hunting and fishing expeditions. Robbie’s walk with the Lord was evident and shown not just by his words, but by his actions. He was very forgiving, generous, and never held a grudge. From the day he was born, to the moment our Lord called him home, he impacted everyone he came across. Although he could be goofy, Robbie had a heart to change the lives of those around him. Truly his life modeled one more honoring beyond his years.
Robbie is survived by his parents Robert and Pam Stalets; and his sister Christa Stalets. He also leaves behind grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a plethora of friends who all loved him dearly.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Indiana Funeral Care in Indianapolis. The viewing and funeral will both be held at Horizon Christian Fellowship, 7702 Indian Lake Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236. The viewing will be from 5pm-8pm on Friday, March 6th, 2015. The funeral will be from 11am-1pm on Saturday, March 7th, 2015, with a viewing from 10am-11am for anyone unable to attend on March 6th, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Hunt of a Lifetime, an organization that sponsors hunting expeditions to children facing life-threatening diseases. You may donate at www.huntofalifetime.org or by mail to Hunt of a lifetime foundation P.O. Box 241 Harborcreek, PA 16421
The Stalets family is eternally thankful for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who they can confidently say Robbie is with, and rest in the comfort of knowing that they will be with him again someday.

Robert and Pam Stalets says
To everyone who has such kind words and has an/or is praying for us.
We have never known a hurt as deep as this. It was sudden and shocking. His mother and I had 2 hours with him before he passed. They were the saddest and yet most memorable moments of my life.
It may sound strange to some but the presence of God was in the room. My son did not have to fight fear of death or severe pain as he fell asleep after his mother prayed for him a day before and never woke up.
Although our hearts grieve deeper then we thought possible we also have a peace because we know he is in heaven and his race is over.
Isaiah 57:1-2 says The Rightous perish and are taken away and people do not understand yet the Rightous are taken away from Evil
We know God and a His son Jesus are good. We have seen it and known it too long and too sure to not think so now. This scripture confirms to our hearts that God saved my son and took him because he loved him and knew something we don’t about the future
That doesn’t make our son any more special then anyone. God is not a respect or of people and lives all the same. We know a
Though Robbie wasn’t perfect ( none of us are) that he did know who Jesus was and he did acknowledge Him and he tried. Knowing this gives us hope. We do not mourn for him. Not in the least. We mourn our deep pain because we miss him and wanted to parent him. HE now is in the place I want to be. His mother and I will count the days the rest of our lives to see him again. I thank God I know Him and for who He is. I poured all I knew into my son. He was quick to forgive and he knew he was loved by his parents and his sister. God does not waste these hardships but uses them for the good to those who love Him. We have already seen MANY lives changed Not by anything we have done but by people knowing my son and knowing he is gone. By realizing this life is short and it’s really really NOT worth being angry or not forgiving even when you are truly wronged. All of us are here for a short time then comes eternity To us that live longer we start to see how fast life moves. The younger can only listen to us tell them it does. In the end we must all face death. This life is short. I long to see my son again and I will Somehow we will survive this pain because god is good.
Until then trust me we need your prayers. Thank ALL of you for taking the time to write us It means a lot to the three of us. We hope we can be there if you ever need us. Isn’t that what it’s all about ?
God Bless
Thank you All
Robert, Pam and Christa Stalets
